Emilio Paolini, Ph.D. candidate in Emerging Digital Technologies at the TeCIP Institute of the Sant'Anna School, in collaboration with CNR-IEIIT and Sma-RTy Italia, was the winner of an NGI Enrichers grant. This prestigious award supports European researchers by facilitating their collaboration with top institutions in the United States and Canada to promote advances in Next Generation Internet technologies.

Through the fellowship, Emilio will spend several months at Saint Louis University, Missouri, collaborating with Flavio Esposito, Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department. The fellowship will allow him to focus on research on the topic: "Adaptive Edge-AI Deployment in NextG Wireless Networks," a project that aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce latency through innovative distributed and accelerated AI strategies with photonic technologies, adapted to dynamic network conditions.

The NGI Enrichers program is a pillar for transatlantic knowledge exchange and is intended to foster long-term collaborations that will shape the future of Internet technologies, emphasizing a democratized, human-centered approach. The award is a testament to Emilio Paolini's potential to contribute significantly to this global initiative.
